MALTBY GLIDER S HIGH LAUNCH TITANIUM DRIVER CLUB HEADS
The Glider S Titanium Driver Series is a 460cc, four piece forged titanium driver that really delivers. The unique concave cavity design places the center of gravity extremely low and to the rear of the design, giving it high launch capabilities. Dimensionally, both
in breadth (front to back) and in width (toe to heel), the
Glider S approaches the USGA maximum for size. This
maximizes the perimeter weighting making it very forgiving
on off-center hits (High Moment of Inertia). The internal
structure was designed with supports to minimize flexing of
the crown and body during impact, which minimizes energy
loss and gives it a powerful sound. The flat sole design
keeps the c.g. low and at address makes the player confident
of a high launch. The Glider S Driver was designed with very simple goals – design a driver that hits it higher,
longer and straighter.
Highlights:
- 460cc Four Piece Forged Construction.
- 6-4 High Strength Titanium face.
- Concave crown design keeps c.g. low and back, promoting a high launch trajectory.
- Internal design stabilizes the head at impact for a solid feel and powerful sound.
- Longer face length presents more face surface area, instilling
confidence at address.
- Deeper front to back and longer toe to heel dimensions maximize
perimeter weighting for more forgiveness on off-center hits.
- 1° closed face angle in the 10° loft option and 1.5° closed face
angle in the 13° loft option helps reduce a slight to moderate
slice ball flight.
- Wide, flat sole keeps c.g. low and allows easy and correct set
up at address.
- .335" hosel bore
- Available in 10° loft (11° effective loft) and 13° (14.5° effective loft).
- Recommended golf ferrule – 52PW

Driver easy to play
Reviewed By:
JAG (-, Norway)
Bought this driver to get low COG and a loft suitable for my swingspeed and liked the looks of it. Chose the 10deg. I do not care for the 1deg closed, but if it gives me a draw I do not complaint.
Put a Rfile graphite X-flex 75g on it. I like it. I can hit high and with litle spin almost any place on the face. It is just plain easy to play with. It builds confidence just after a few swings with it. It will stay in the bag for a long time.

Clank!

It's too bad this driver is being discontinued--with a 43 inch TT steel shaft, it's the most reliable driver I've ever found, and it's plenty long and forgiving. Kinda like the Glider irons, in fact. The only time it doesn't get 200 yards down the pipe is when the operator fails to swing properly.
But the sound is unique, to be sure; it sounds like success!
