MALTBY 304 STAINLESS MILLED PUTTER HEADS
The Maltby 304 Stainless Milled Putters are the premium quality you have come to expect from the Maltby brand of putters. Manufactured from SS304 Soft Stainless, these putters have an incredible feel and function. In fact, the Rockwell hardness rating of the Maltby 304 stainless is very similar to carbon steel. These models are precision CNC skin milled to exact specifications. The face has a unique 3 way milling that insures a perfectly flat face and produces a truer roll. The Maltby 304 Milled Series offers 3 distinct body styles. The 02 model is a heel / toe straight line style with a 4.70" blade length and an offset hosel. The 03 model is a small mallet style with a 3.92" blade length and 90° bore, and the 04 model is a modern mallet style with a 4.18" blade length, the trademark Maltby “ball in motion” alignment system and a 90° bore for use with a double bend shaft. All of the models have the slightly heavier head weights making them ideal for multiple playing lengths, from 32" up to belly lengths, without the need for additional weight. The added head weight also allows the use of heavier, oversized putter grips that have become popular without sacrificing swingweight. Our goal in developing the Maltby 304 Series of putters was to offer a line of putters that compares to the expensive OEM brands, without the exorbitant price. We believe we accomplished that goal.
Highlights:
- Manufactured from soft 304 stainless steel for great feel and adjustability.
- Skin milled to precise specifications.
- 3 way face milling produces a truer roll.

- Anti-glare finish.
- 3 body styles available – Model 02 Heel / Toe, Model 03 Small Mallet,

- Higher MOI (for comparable category styles) resists twisting on off center hits, producing a more online and on distance roll.
- Optimum 4° loft on all models.
- Custom assembly available.
- 02 model requires a straight putter shaft, 03 and 04 models require a double bend putter shaft (UMXTPP).

Maltby 03 mallet
Reviewed By:
Eric P (London, UK)
Bought this because I wanted to try a mallet style putter. The component head was ideal because I hated offsets, which just about everything off-the-shelf have. Assembled with a TT single bend shaft with no offset and a Winn AVS grip. Unbelievable!! Beautiful feel off the 304 stainless face - soft, but with a crisp click on contact. Every bit as good as my best milled carbon steel blade putter.
I'm putting better with this than any of my current expensive blade putters. I'm now a mallet convert.
The face milling looks very true, although I'm not so keen on the black painted finish - think it'll start to chip and look shabby very quickly..
Weight of this head is spot on 400g; very heavy compared to the typical 340g of my blade putters. However this partially offset the short 32" length I'm using it at and just feels solid, giving a smooth tempo to my swing. Once I got used to the weight I don't notice any loss in feel or judgement.
This putter is definately going in the bag and my expensive putters going on ebay! Just can't beleive I'm replacing my top-of-the-line $200+ putter with something that costs $50..

Better than Ping
Reviewed By:
Jeff S (Grasonville, MD)
2 weeks ago, we had a Ping demo day at our Country Club, and I tried all of the various Ping putter models - even the most expensive ones even though they were way out of my price range. After assembling and playing the Maltby MSP2 blade, I find it every bit as good as the $250 Ping Redwood Black Satin, and better than any of the Karsten Series. The quality is flawless, and the milled face really is cool. It is solid, yet soft at the same time, and the slightly heavier weight really feels good and makes it even easier to keep the putter's line during the put. And...for only $32 total for head, shaft (FST stepless) and grip (Lamkin Crossline putter), this putter is a FAR better value than any of the Pings. Great job by the Maltby team on this one.

The best yet

I have been using Golfworks putters for about twelve years and this is the best one I've tried. I still think the Toski Target lock T-3 is a great putter and I am deadly with it. I always liked the look of a blade but couldn't find one with the right feel and weight until now. Thank you
